Anybody know why my Firefox hangs when I click a link that downloads a PDF?

Cheers

Do you know what program you're using to open PDFs?I would guess the plugin that opens them directly in the browser isn't working. If you are using acrobat, open it on it's own outside firefox, open the Edit menu, then Preferences. On the Internet tab I think the first option is "Open PDF in browser," untick this box for a temporary fix. Uninstalling and reinstalling acrobat and firefox is probably the easiest thing to try for a permanent solution.

Uninstall Acrobat and install Foxit reader, you'll find it on Google. It's smaller, faster and works better. Then install PDF Download from the Firefox add on page through the tools menu and it should do the job for you.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
