Duratec build underway

Hi,
i know its another duratec build on the way but wanted to put some pics up of progress so far.
To date the bottom end has come back from machining and assembly from Scholar engines and i have started putting bits onto it.
Am awaiting valve springs at mo so i can rebuild head and get it bolted on, then its time to start test fitting .
Cant wait, spec so far.
2045cc 8.5:1 comp duratec
All steel and fully balanced.
Crank keyed and line honed.
Lightened flywheel, paddle clutch
Titan Dry sump kit
And a Rotrex sitting in my bedroom.

Will put more up as it happens but things are a little slow at the mo.
thanks in advance
joe

What spec will yours be Stuart?

Ours will be a pretty stock 2.3, arp'd, lightened flywheel, on ZX9R carbs initially. DIY chopped sump etc so pretty low spec, but hoping for 180bhp ish and plenty torque!

Looking very nice Goaty. I take it that unit bolted on the side of the block with the pulley drive is the dry sump pump? excuse my ignorance I've never seen one really - or paid attention should I say.

lol, same here.
It is indeed the pump, should all fit in just, still not sure if it will stay that side or not yet. Depends on best place to squeeze the charger in.
This is my first proper done build so am learning the whole way too.

Not sure if i did pm you about a Ali inlet flange for a duratec?? is it poss in 8mm???
cheers

mine is a stock 2.0 freshly rebuilt by me, with stock but new parts, and gsxr 750 throttle boddies.

but all i know it will be a nice step form a 1.6 pinto, for a 18year old.lol

so i am hoping for more than teh stock 150, as i will have a nice free flow equaly length headers, and teh throttle boddies and a good megasquirt map hopefuly.
