Looking at which rack / column to use ???

I'm just trying to decide what rack / column to use in my K1 attack... Wondering if anyone knows of a good electric PAS rack or column???? without spending a fortune at demon tweeks... is there an OEM unit that doesn't require wheel speeds, torgue meters etc... thought about using a variable resistor, giving me no PAS on the open roads, but wind it up up when you come into towns??? Any ideas would be much appreciated :-) :-)

Try u2u'ing chriss, he has a vauxhall corsa electric power steering column and the electronics to make it work that he may be interested in parting with.

Hi

I have for sale a complete PAS conversion kit which would be ideal for you. It is the Corsa B PAS Column and electronic module to control assistance.

The Epas on a Toyota Corrola is lighter and more advanced than the Opel one.

All made in the UK and easy to transplant. I have one in the garage you can have free but no ECU sadly.

What rack is specified for the K1 Attack?

Surely you have to fit that one?

Cool, thanks for the advice...Looks like the corsa is a good starting point :-)
The std K1 uses Honda Prelude running gear and rack...I'm using Ferrari 355 running gear, so will have to inprovise whichever rack i use... :-) :-)
