IVA Step by Step

I know we have a SVA Step by Step thread but the links are all out of date and dont lead to anything. Should we maybe have a new IVA Step by Step sticky?

How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

I think we should have a central repository for the fail points of others.

I reject the fact that if you do everything as per the IVA manual then you'll be fine as there is too much ambiguity and variation in peoples experiences for this to be the case.

yep, IVA manual is quite vague on most things.

but, with everyones cars being different in quite a few ways, its difficult for some fail points to be useful for the next person.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I think this is a good idea and even if some of the points help some people. One read over and you might pick up just one point that might be the difference between passing and a £200 retest etc..

While it is unlikely to ever directly bother me (its all about the racing!) from what I've read, as well as fail points it might be worth noting how different test centres interpret the vagueries.

Excellent idea! If only a handful of people get a few good pointers it is still worth it.
