Dogdy Car Buyer

Have decided to put my Puma up for sale a few days ago and here is a email i've had this morning.

I got an email a few days ago asking how much is last asking price, this was my reply:

£2500, If you want any other details, please let me know
Regards
Ed

Then this morning i awake to find myself with this:

Thanks for the mail and the quick response
towards this email.. My client is willing to offer you £2,500 for car
and you will receive a bank Draft for the payment of the car and
shipment cost....Do get back to me with this following information's
below..?

FULL NAME...to be written on the Cheques?
FULL CONTACT ADDRESS..?
CONTACT PHONE NUMBER BOTH MOBILE AND LAND...?

Immediately
i got this details from you,i wont hasten to pass it down to my client
to issue and send you the Check, and once the payment has been sent to
you i would hesitate to let you know. But note that shipment cost will
be included on the Check..So consider that the car was sold to my
client...I awaits your positive response towards this email as soon as
possible...

What do you think? Genuine person wanting the car in france etc.. or a scammer?

agree sounds a scam, worrying thing is the details they are after (supprised no bank details requested), name, address, land and mobile numbers are generally all availabe for anyone to obtain through legitimate sources, just wonder what use they can put them to!!!!

Definitely a scam. Crap English, and trying too hard.

Also '.But note that shipment cost will
be included on the Check.'

So are you responsible for shipping it?

The defining senctence in all these types of scams are....
quote:

My client is willing to offer you

If these scammers actually started off by saying....

quote:

Alright mate, I can offer you about £2200, but no more, any chance of us sorting out a deal?

Then I think more people would fall for scams. I guess Nigerians are short on imagination these days.

I think the next stage is where, having got your interest, to move things along they ask for your bank details - as the money can then be in your bank even quicker.....or out immediately!.........

SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM

1. Check
2. Mention of "client"
3. Asking for shipping to be included in price

Avoid like the proverbial.
I'd just ignore them.

Friend of mine had similar with an engine sale.. They sent him a cheque (which turned out to be stolen)for a larger amount and then asked for change! He just played along right up to the end and passed it on to the police..

I use a shipping company very safe for both of us.It is like an escrow. I will give the jet ski to them, you will send the money to them.We will use this shipping company http://dasauto-shippers.eu.pn/
This are the steps of our transaction:

-the company will confirmed you that the product it's into them custody and inspected, and ready to be shipped to your home address.
-i will give you the tracking number and the scanned from the office company with all the information about the transport from England to Mexico.
-you will pay 2.700 $ on my name and address, and for your security you will send the payment information to the shipping company Das Auto Shippers, for the security of this business, because i want to be sure that you will buy the jet ski and take care of my jet ski,is the guarantee for the shipping company.
-you will receive the jet ski and you will start the testing of the jet ski for 1 week, and after that 1 week if you want to buy the jet ski,we will make all the documentation on your name and address.
-after that you will give the permission to the shipping company to send me the payment information, from the office Western Union ( www.westernunion.com ).

For start this transaction i will need from your this information:
Name:
Address:
City:
Zip code:

This are my information:

Name: EXXXX XXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Address: Via xxx xxxx Piovera 12/20
City: xxxxx( GE )
Country: Italy
Zip code: 16149

Thank you,
