SVA and IVA - General info please
Hi,
Before we embark on our first build, I wouldn't mind a VERY basic understanding of the IVA and SVA test criteria.
From reading the forum, the IVA appears more thorough and costs considerably more, is this correct?
Is it still possible to use the SVA test or is this now "defunct"?
If not what is the criteria that says it can be done under SVA?

IVA now superseeds SVA - you have noe choice if you are building a road going car.

IVA (or SVA when i did it) isn't as daunting as you might think. Just make sure you do a neat and tidy/professional job all they wat through
your build and you wont have many problems at all.

Am I right in thinking the cost of the IVA Test is £540?

£450 and the retest is £90 but then the test does take a full day. i had mine today and it started at 8:30am and finished at 5pm

Heres the IVA Manual, but its downloadable from the VOSA site or the DVLA site, i forget which now.
