Lots of wheel nuts on eBay, only 99p each

Just wondering for no particular reason if anybody on here has ever pressed the eBay Buy it Now and bought the often advertised wheel nut for 99p off a car that's being broken? If so, did you ever receive it? If you're short of a wheel nut, it's not a bad price I suppose.

I did need a few wheelnuts a while back and thought about getting them this way (I thought it would be interesting too, just like you have).

It turns out that most "wheelnuts breaking ..." ads list it as collection only, or the postage is a bit high.

I clicked on this post cause I actually need some wheel nuts!
That's not a bad idea to source them tho, if it actually works.

I wanted a Renault Megane keycard so I could swap the keys over (they have a spare key inside the keycard for entry into the car when the battery dies). However the key also holds the battery in place for the keycard so I just wanted to swap the keys. Then have one keycard which works as a blipper and a spare one (in the house) with the key in it.

simples.

Found one on Ebay with a description of

"why do people advertise these- you can't reprogram them?"

So I bought it.

He wasn't very happy.....

It was cheap though!!! LOL
