where to put the chassis number

Hi all, in the IVA manual it says the chassis number must be on the right hand side of the car, but is that stood in from the car, or when you are sat in the car.

yeah but dont do what I did and stamp it on the engine cradle...its removable and the DVLA man WHINED like a b|tch about it.

Thankfully I had also stamped it on the bottom chassis rail, so made him grovel for that on the floor.

chassis number

I stamped my number on the top front chassis rail. Had no problems with DVLA and SVA checks. Cheers Eric.
