Paypal fees question
If I sold something and got paid via Paypal what fees, if any do I get charged for withdrawing/transfering the payment to my current account?
I have been on the Paypal website and can't really find a definative answer.

i don't think so, as it takes it as a debit card payment, and you don't get charges for making debit card payments

I think its £5.50 per transfer to a current account,
well, thats what i was charged last week.

£5.50!! I thought Paypal dropped the minimum £50 withdrawal to be fee free and you dont get charged anything!!

Thats scary... I was just looking at paypal fees..
its free to withdraw from account to bank... they DO charge you a LOT to recieve money though... 3.4% ..plus 20p

They being Ebay (as they now own Paypal) - their level of overall transaction fees is only outdone by what we get hauled out of us by the government
in taxes.
At least Ebay is optional!!

now i,m intrigued 
i have transferred funds from my paypal account twice in the last month & i,m pretty sure i was charged £5.50 per transfer,
tho when i,ve spent from the paypal account when i,ve been paid for selling an item i,ve not been charged anything in fees.
will check if i,ve been "done"

£5.50 Transfer ???
This is now an option offered by PayPal, you can "express" withdraw at £5.50 or std withdraw for free.
Guess which box is already selected and as you guys above can testify its not easily spotted.

Googlebay or even Tescobay, someone needs to setup some competition as the fees are getting silly in my view.

I think it would have to be a big corporate name for people to take notice and try out the competitor. Would also need loads of financial clout to
cover the advertising costs it would need to get it off the ground and going with any sort of momentum.
Funnily enough Tescobay was one that sprang to my mind. Maybe we should email Sir Richard and suggest Virginbay too....

What about Ebid are they any good as i did register a while back but couldnt find my way around there site or how it works so i dont look on there
very often.
Anyone tried it.
