+4" bodywork - supply

Hi all,

In sorting out my other dramas i have come across the oppotunity to make a +4" wider body work set, it would be a wider version of our new taller bodywork, so modern engines would fit under it a treat as well.

Basically the deal is when i have 6 or more people interested in ordering a minimum of a 6 piece wide body kit then i'll go ahead and fund the development of the new tooling to do this. Lead time will be 8 weeks from the time the project kicks off (when 6 or more orders are placed).

If you are interested then please email me offlist. darren@gtstuning.co.uk

Kind regards,

Darren

Darren,
I was just thinking, surely it is only the nosecone, bonnet and scuttle which are different on the +4" bodykit with the wheel arches just being the same.

I say this because there must be people out there who perhaps already have the wheel arches and don't want to buy a 6 or 7 piece kit when they only need the nosecone, bonnet and scuttle? I need a full seven piece kit but maybe you would consider taking orders for just the nose, bonnet and scuttle as well?

As you can probably tell I am keen to help drum up enough interest to get the production run off so that I can get one of your kits...

Cheers,
Craig.

Hi,

Yes your right, we would just sell the bonnet, nose and scuttle, but, to get it off the ground i would need to supply 6 full sets in order to generate enough revenue to pay towards tooling costs etc.

Darren,
Yes I appreciate the "economy of scale" bit and I must say that 6 sets is a pretty fair (ie. low) initial target. I guess you must have quite good cost control and an efficient design process. I'm sure you'll get the 6 initial orders quite quickly. I hope so anyway!
Cheers,
Craig.

We've definately had more than 6 people say they want +4" in the past so I'm sure you'll soon get it.

Because my chassis is weird I *think* that +4" will be a tad too big for mine.

Oh well.. nothing like making life hard on yourself!

James,
You could maybe mount it slightly farther back and just use a shorter bonnet. Might depend on radiator clearance though.
Cheers,
Craig.

Darren,
Could you please update us on how you are doing with securing the pre-requisite number of orders? I know you have at least one...

Cheers,
Craig.

Darren,
Just checking again as I've not heard back from you, any word on the +4" project?
Cheers,
Craig.
