mt 75 noisy

Dear all,

I'm searching some advise concerning a noisy MT 75 gearbox.

The problem starts when the gearbox oil becomes warm.

MT75 Comma oil

*ones warm the second gear is difficult to engage.
*There are some rumbling noises on idle, and if you go on/off power

Anyone any idea ?

Thanks

Just swap the gearbox. They fetch very little over here.

Got to pick one up ive bought on ebay this week. Price ......£26.99

Rumble at idle could just be the thrust bearing as there is usually nothing to pull it on to the cover plate like there is in a sierra.

big_wasa,

Thanks for the replay.
I can pick up another secondhand cheap, but this box can have the same problem, because my friend is also driving an avon with MT75 and has the same problem, so it seems to be a bit of a now problem with the MT75.

Maybe it is wyse to find a company that can rebuild the box
