OT:what a tit
Just had my second cbt...
TittyMcGee here only took 45 minutes on the road before he was arse sledging across two lanes of a roundabout!
only about £50 damage to the bike thank god, and no damage to me.
1. IMO I have literally lost the ability to drive after my 205 incident.
2. I lost the front end, instructor was watching me and hes complete confused as to what happened. He's convinced I went over something on the
roundabout and has invited me to come back next week to do it again no extra charge.
don't half feel like a willyhead though!

Bummer, if that happens on a test, will you trust yourself afterwards
Glad you're OK

Spend a weekend in A+E and then really ask yourself if you want to ride a bike....
I did my big bike test, worked in A+E and never rode a bike again!

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I know , thats exactly what I said. A few people came over and were chatting about it. Everyone was like "wtf". I was steady in second
gear, inside lane, steady throttle and suddenly I was on my backside.
Conditions were appalling though so I wonder if I've just gone over a bit of rubber/oil/diesel that the rains lifted up. Thats what the
instructor says it looked like.
Still not convinced it wasn't me though, so I'll see if it happens again next week .
Yeah chris.. I was planning on getting some time with the army trauma orthos... that might open my eyes a bit!

Hmm - not a bad idea, but remember that dead people don't make it as far as orthopaedics, and the neurosurgeons / plastics also take a
lot...

well just to make you feel less of an idiot heres my story...
Couple years ago when i was still on a moped and at school. i left school one day, theres probably about 70-80m or tarmac inside the school grounds
with a couple bends to get from where i was parked to the main road. So i hopped on my ped, rode off a bit, turned the first bend, saw two of my mates
walking the other way, so snatched the front brake going round the corner... you can fill in the rest.
VERY embaressing! luckily only them two saw and everyone else was in classes!
O and it was 25degrees bone dry so unfortunatly cant blame the weather

And here's a more embarrassing situation for ya Craig...
Just got round to handling my nice new Kawasaki ST1000, massive thing if you've never seen one.
Pulls up proudly with mates and girls, other peeps shopping etc, goes to put foot down to find the lace looped round the gearstick... two of us
required to lift it back up after the handlebar dug in and got stuff in the tarmac..
Thank god there was no plod around at the time

What, he wants you to go back and fall off again
Its good you're not hurt and in good spirits about it, and you're probably right about hitting diesel, very common for it to have sloshed
out of a brimmed commercial on roundabouts.

haha, glad to see its not just me whos done silly things!
needless to say I wont be telling my rents, as I still intend on doing my DAS. Might hold off a little on the zixxer or gixxer though haha.
off to majorca on monday driving a fiesta around. If you're on holiday there too I suggest you stay clear of the roads!
The instructor was sound. He's told me he'll refund the money for my DAS if I don't want to go through with it, he'll fix
everything himself and he'll only invoice me for the couple of bits he needs off ebay and as I say he's told me he'll complete my
cbt for no extra.
He said he'd been confident in my riding all day, and he was watching me so he knows I wasn't being a tit.

You'll be thankful as you get older that nothing worse happened, and then go over in your head what worse might have been, and might be, if you
ride a bike.
