Handyandy's Progress Picture
Andy's asked me if I can post this recent picture of his car, its nearly at the point of IVA and I'm sure he'll be adding some of

Thanks Rich, you,re a star , owe you a beer at stoneleigh 
The photo is a recent pic, tho things have progressed alittle further now,
In this pic the front wings aren,t actually attached as i was waiting for the paint to dry on my wing stays hanging in the garage
The car now has the rear lights, all 3 mirrors fitted,
to do list is getting shorter at last....
to do list...
fit nose mesh,
make & fit boot lid
adust & set wheel alignment & camber
tidy up the wiring in the engine bay
cover the dash in vinyl...
tbh, getting to the point where I can,t think of much else that needs doing

I thought that the wings had to cover the tyre when looking from above.
Nice looking build, what are the wheels from?

Thanks for all your kind words guys ,
Steve........ the wheels are from a Ford Puma , I like them as they have a large "Face" area to hide the small discs & drums, might
change them after IVA as I fancy some willwoods

I think the wheels are quite unusual on a kit, I really like the effect they give.

They are commonly known as "Propeller wheels",
I used to be in the navy so quite apt
plus... they were cheap £40 for all 4
Started it april 2009 & hope to IVA it before christmas.

I concur 100% with this - I viewed the post last night and keep coming back to it, them wheels just draw me in (how sad am I?).

I,ll be totally honest & say my car has been built on an extremely tight budget, with the thought that once it was on the road I,ll be updating it
on a "Rolling on the road" type of development.
I,d like to say that I couldn,t have built the car without the great help from the members of the Haynes & LCB forums, thanks everyone
maybe i,m a big softie....but I still look at the car in slight disbelief, realising that it was built from scratch, chassis included, in that small
garage, & that it works
Just the big IVA hurdle to get over now

I,m quite surprised at the nice comments about the wheels I,ve used,
I,ve tried to build my car as the title of the book suggests "on a budget" ( I,m sure thats to please the "wives" & the
wheels came along at the right price.

that bloomin countdown clock ...i like to think of it as a millenium clock , never sure whats gonna happen at the stroke of midnight

I guess when it hits midnight, the car will turn into a pumkin (it's already the right colour ) and some randy bloke will chase you around
with a shoe.

I,ve got a spare flak jacket
I suppose, being honest I,m not keen on dark / black wheels, this stems from my bike racing days when bikes with black wheels gave the illusion that
it was a "heavy slow handling bike", & so every bike I raced or owned would always have silver/alloy coloured wheels & i,ve
carried this perception thru to the build of my car.
I know "Black" is the new silver ....like "white is the new red" ( give it a few yrs & those white cars won,t look so
white anymore) & those colours are very much in vogue, but then again so were flaired trousers in the 70,s
