I am looking for a smallish oil filter with a 3/4 UNF thread Does anyone have a part number I can cross reference or a car model that has one.

Steve, i has exercit t'he problem situ a Pintó situ oil cooler sandwich plate.
I took the sandwich plate adaptor screw with me to Halfords and tried it on ever filter until I found one suitable.
Do be aware of the different recesses on the bottom of the filters, I found lots that would fit thread and were small enough but would not seal.

escort CVH ones are not large.

Be careful, I think M18 threads will fit, sort of. Trouble is they are wrong, and could blow off. Not worth th erisk (I know all about this as a recently broke an oil cooler adaptor, lost all the oil and damaged the crank. On the way to a 2000 mile event start:mad

Thanks all, Looks like a Fiat Clankyclunko one will probably do the job, I will watch out for interference of the thread.

Renault 5 one fits fine on my Zetec. No probs in 4 yearsd of use. I haven't come across another that is any better and easily available.

I know the thread isn't quite right but lots of people have used them with no problems.
