Saab 9-3 Aero Coupe

I need to consolidate my projects and the Saab has to go....I am after a SWB Shogun or maybe a Navara.

This is a great motorway car, happy sitting comfortably at 80 all day, or well up for a back road point and squirt if thats what you like.

I have never owned two cars of the same manufacturer, one after the other, I was so impressed with my 900 Turbo I replaced it with this one.

Looking for £2500, The plate isnt included.

I have spent that in parts on it...

predict a SWB Shogun as replacement. The wife wont drive the Lada (cant think why ) so the Saab & Lada are going.

Consolidated into one vehicle which can tow, haul logs, and a host of other things.

Lada will be around £650 , but I need to hang onto it till I find another motor...

Are you in Rochester on the A68 ? (If so you need a Niva)

It needs a cv joint replacing in the transmission, and the original radiator put back on...

The parts are on order, due in mid january, its well caked up having been used heavily through all the white kak, so needs a clean up.

watch out for the advert

Saab does a very consistent 28/29 mpg on the daily 14 mile commute, around 34 on a long run.

No worries, The Saab is a good motorway car , another bonus is the huge boot.

Iconic building behind the car....

I had one of these new when they were new as a company car, a cracking motor, no complaints at all, and this is an awful lot of car - for not a lot of money.

The sid/computer is currently open , this is done with the pc inteface I have......

Like this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrhOX5BsNUk&feature=related

Allows access to all the Saab Tech2 information, which is more or less everything the car does to function.

More info at www.ecuproject.com

It has full leather Aero interior which is very comfortable & supportive, Saab mats, Glowshift boost gauge, cd player/radio, climate control (filled last year). The centre console lid is broken, but other than that its all ok, with reasonable wear , no rips etc in the interior. The Saab sid/computer (like all of them) has a screen fault, sometimes........sometimes its fine sometimes it is pixelated. A common problem.

If you want a go at home tuning the Saab there is masses of folk at it using the T7suite software, found here..

http://trionic.mobixs.eu/

The T7 B205R engine is happy with 300bhp, but its frowned upon going for more, the old T5 will happily deal with 450bhp on stock internals, some go beyond that.

The B205R has lightweight pistons which can let go beyond 300bhp, however the engines are very strong so nothing to worry about.

I have family here at the minute, so the garage is out of bounds, will post up some pictures once some of the snow has hopefully melted in the next few days.

Still for sale -

Fourth gear roll on's in this car are amazing, boost comes up and theres not a lot of production cars (present company accepted) will stay with this car...

Clarkson was amazed at the 9-5s mid range torque on the 250bhp model, this one has more of both.

Its a 10 year old Saab for a snip over £2000

"WHY ALL THE PICKY/FARTY QUESTIONS" and some have been really picky !!, God please help.

This is a cracking car for the money, I have had 6 beemers from 316i to 535i and I rate SAAB's right up there.
I bought a 2001 9-3 on the 20th,to replace the 9-5, if I hadn't I would be heading north

Thanks for that !

I know of a Porsche 911 owner who once thought Granpa's Saab wasnt up to much, by all accounts it put a 1/4 mile on him from 80mph before he started to make ground ...and that was only because Granpa lifted off.

I have reduced the price to £2200

Sale withdrawn -

A combination of crap weather, crap timing to sell the thing, and a raft of silly questions which when answered added up to a small hill of beans, and no buyer interest, have prompted me to pull my adverts.

Was going to buy its replacement and store the Saab in the garage till summer is here in March...

So thanks for all the positive replies re the car, it is a good un ! and it will be for sale later in the year.
