Uprights?

What other uprights have been used on a book locost other than cortina ones?

These seem to be going for silly money now, is there a cheaper alternative?

Are there any plans for fabricated uprights?

Craig.

People (westfield, mnr + probably others) are using MX5 uprights.

Sierra uprights are common (rally design sell them new)

There are plans for weld your own uprights but some people have questioned the design a little - sharpe edges etc introducing stress raisers.

You can buy uprights that are cast ally - although there have bee questions of the longevity of these due to historic manufacturing defects (now fixed with imposed weight limits to reduce stress).

Rally Design also do some uprights which look similar to the cortina ones but i think are from an american car (ie i'm not that sure what they are)

Any other upright will require specific wishbones to match them to the locost chassis pickup points.
Does anyone make suitable wishbones to suit the sierra unit on a book chassis?
