MNR at Autosport
MNR have a stand at the Autosport show this year.
They will have their LMP on display, and also my new RGB car (although it's not 100% finished yet!!).
If your going, pop in to say hello.

Steve, has your rollcage been tweaked since the pics in your blog? If not and you want to run it in the RGB, you may want to check out the discussions
on double bends in the front legs of the cage in the chassis section on here. MSA regs dont like the double bends.

I went to the show mainly to go to the MNR stand. I must say I was bitterly dissapointed that most of the people on stands I visited were not the same
as MNR. The MNR guys were helpfull and chatty. It took me ages to get away as I thought it was coming up to my round for the tea and coffee
The vortex looked beautifull and the LMP has given me some ideas for the future (anyone want to buy my westfield?)
Looking at the pics of the cage on steves car and my eyes are still a bit fuzzt this morning I cant see if by double bend you mean as in and
"S" shape on the front legs or a double bend in the same direction. If its a double in an "S" then no the scrutes wont like it
but if its a bent at the top to come down then another to turn down again to the floor then that should be OK. Get in touch with one of your local MSA
scrutes in the blue book and they will put you in the right direction
Cheers
Brian
I have decided to call my Westfeild "The Caterhammer" Hopefully it will

The cage is already on Mathiew Lewis's car in the Kitcar championship, and has been tested and approved. I do plan to get the local scrutineer
to check the car over before I do my first event.

If a cage is anything other than exactly what the blue book says,
It has to be tested and approved by the MSA
The MNR cage HAS been tested, and approved by the MSA
Chris had a copy of the approval at Autosport
It may be worth Steve carrying a copy it to races thou.

basically if you are willing to pay the money for testing and your cage passes the stress test etc then there is no problem, however if you are not
going to get certification then you have to follow the blue book to the letter :-) hopefully this will help eradicate all the confusion. we ( mnr )
have three designs fia / rac / msa approved suitable for racing cant speak for mk as im nothing to do with mk
cheers

So these are FIA ROPS approvals? (MIRA tested?)
If so it would be well worth posting that in the thread I linked too, just to clarify, as Procomps comments would lead people to beleive that they
have the only 7esq car with a FIA ROPS approved cage, when if the above is FIA approval, then thats quite clearly incorrect!

Hi
If the cage is fully FIA ROPS tested it should have the labels present on the cage and the drivers need to have a copy of the paper work to hand for
scrutineering.
GBS are presently going through the full FIA ROPS procedure so they are fully ready to race later this year.
Cheers Matt
