Not in the North East, but I used Dunning & Fairbanks in Leeds,

I bought a complete brand new prop made to my dimensions on length, type 9 gearbox to sierra diff, ordered on a tuesday, & had it installed in my car on friday afternoon, £134 all in including delivery.

A very good service .

Where abouts are you Rich? as I,m in Cleveland too .

cheers
andy

I have used these folks about 8 years ago. They made up a new propshaft to my spec and they had the correct ends in stock. I ordered it one day and it was ready to collect the next. Great service!!

I found Fairbank & Dunning a bit expensive.
I've used Commercial Propshafts at Team Valley before, good service
I also used a place in Dragonville ind. Est. Durham (forgot what name was) a couple of years ago, who were
excellent and reasonable cost.

AS far as I know they are still open, I have not been past their door recently, but I have seen their van out and about in the last couple of weeks.

...For the archives

Just had mine shortened at Commercial Propshaft in the Team Valley. Cost £38.50 Plus VAT, was ready the next day and best of all they cleaned it all up and painted it satin black. Looks like new.
