how to mount polo radiator
Hi All,
i just treatred myself to a polo radiator new of ebay for better cooling with this new engine.
any tips on how to mount it?
i can't see and threads or holes to use.
any pics of it installed would be a bonus.

There's 4 bosses either side with holes in them and pegs on the bottom. Either make brackets for the pegs to sit in and then ones to hold it at
the top bosses or mount it on 4 o the bosses with brackets. You can thread set screws direct into the bosses (M6 or M5 I think fit) Just check they
don'thit the bottom of the holes.

Most people just use the small mounting holes as shown here
I used some very short coach bolts which screwed into them nicely. I used these to clamp onto short straps which I rivetted into the chassis at the
other end. Be careful if you go down this path though because the holes in the mounting holes are blind and very short and you use too long a screw
and too much gusto with the spanner you'll go through into the radiator end pieces...

on mine the holes were not threaded, but took a M6 thread. They are not very deep though.
Also be careful when dealing with the small bore overflow pipe, it is fragile.
