It was just a standard badge with the blue sanded off and then sprayed red, we used to do them whatever colour we fancied on the day.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Ford never fitted Red badges to anything. There was a craze in the 80's to fit them though or modify standard ones.

The only time they were used from the 'factory' was in the 30's and 40's apparently.

Did you know this is breach of trade mark??

Ah who cares. Scrape off the blue from the back and paint as you want.

Only if you do it to sell on. You can do what you want with your own property.

Ah that brings back memories. I did mine red to. I also changed "Escort" to "Sorted". Happy days the early 90s!
