Flight Sim

I'm thinking of getting a more up-to-date version of Microsoft Flight Sim as the one I have is V. old and I fancy having another go at a newer version.

It seems Flight Sim X is the latest.
Does anyone have a particular one to recommend?

Cheers,
JB

Don't know much about civvy flight sims but there is a new il2 out called Cliffs of Dover (battle of Britain sim). It's still quite buggy but hopefully in a few months time it will be a masterpiece. A major patch should be out tomorrow that sorts alot of it out, it should get updates with different theaters over time too. If you are into modern planes DCS A10c warthog is about as real as it gets.

Whilst on holiday I played a RC flight sim, The full version comes with a proper RC controller that was loads of fun!
I downloaded a free demo which is ok to mess around with. - its called RealFlight G5.

I've got FSX and it's brilliant.. it is much more computer hungry than my old fs 2002 though. There are loads of tips on the net to speed things up as well as loads of other aircraft to load free... I can pole about in a Spitfire, Typhoon or Phantom as well as the standard civvy stuff..
