strange motorbike speedo problem
Hey Guys,
Bit of an old problem i encoutered this morning. Thought id check if you guys have any ideas.
I came home this morning, about a ten minute ride, and the speedo started doing some odd things. It started off reading normally, but then it started
jumping between the actual road speed and about 10mph. Did this for a couple minutes, and then it just stayed reading low. I was going up the A1 and
the indicated speed just kept getting lower and lower, starting at around 10, then dropping to showing only 2mph despite me doing about 70. I didnt
have time to look at it before i had to go to work, so i had no option but to ride it with the dodgy speedo to work. But i noticed as i backed it out
of my drive it displayed about 1-2mph as i was pushing it backwards which is what it normaly does, but when riding down the A1 forward to work it only
started reading 0-1mph when going 70ish. So i seems to work ok backwards but not forwards.
Anyone got any ideas? Its a 2000 triumph tt600.
Cheers

I was almost certain the TT600 had an electronic speedometer, you sure it's a cable?
