2009 Road Reg'd Fireblade Locost - For Sale - £4899!

Hi Everyone,

It's been on the cards for a while, but now the car has to be sacrificed on the alter of Skint.

Road registered in Nov 2009, it was bought as a part built car, from a fabricator who was planning on competing in the locost race series - therefore it was built to a very high standard - race compliance in mind.

I took it on, played at it for about a year and then outsourced the build to a very competent semi pro builder, at reasonable - yet significant expense.

It was BEC'd with all the alterations carried out professionally.

Finally I had the wiring and suspension set up carried out by wozsher off this forum - who fitted the once famous fully adjustable, rose jointed and self centering front wishbones.

All work was carried out to a high standard, resulting in a light weight build and a car that performs excellently both in terms of performance and reliability.

To the spec:

Locost chassis - built for the series
Roll bar to race spec
AVO adjustable dampers with suitable springs for weight of car
poly bushed suspension
"Woszher" front wishbones - fully adjustable castor - set up by warren to self center perfectly
Yokohama A539 tyres - great sports tyre with lots of mileage left

893 fireblade motor (under 900cc means no BEC loading according to 2gether insurance!)
westfield exhaust manifold
silicon water hoses
Alu header tank
Polo radiator
standard airbox for lower noise and track day compliance
repackable end can
dyno jet kit (included - not fitted currently on the emissions set up)
Dunning and fairbank TRT prop
Speedhealer
Bespoke Alu petrol tank

fibre glass race seats
four point harnesses
Milton rear colour matched cover

Bespoke alu gear shift
Savage switches
carbon mods (geneuine carbon) aeroscreen
Alu tunnel top - colour matched to bodywork
Dax SVA cheat bar (not everyones taste - easy to remove, but stopped a dopey MX 5 driver smashing my nose cone when he "forgot" he was in reverse at Oulton...)

Taxed till end Dec - important now the new rules have kicked in unless you have a trailer
MOT not required till Nov 2012!

Only asking £4899 due to the bodywork having the odd knock from long build process

Location - West Lancs not far from Southport.

Nooooo! Dangle don't do it mate, remember I sold mine in 2009 and regreted every minute since, I'm now looking at a new build due to so much heart ache of not having my beloved 7.
If it's possible not to sell then I'd seriously reconsider

Anyway good luck with the sale if it's imperative to do so

Thanks for the comments.

I don't want to, but we just moved and have an empty house burning through £££ each month! Need to free some cash up to be able to drop the price to get it shifted.

I'm gutted, but needs must - the toys are always the first to suffer, and the Mrs fritterings never have any resale value!

Sold

Typical the speedo and temp gauge wouldn't work on test drive, but were working fine 3 hours before when I checked it over. Gave them
Something to haggle over... But needs must and it's gone to someone who will enjoy it.
