Mini sidelights not working

Hi got a problem with my brothers mini here's a link to the miniforum with what's been tried already, I would type it up but I'm typing this on my iPhone any help would be much Appriciated as I've almost pulled this car apart!!!

Really obvious question so I'm sorry if you've done this but have you checked the actual fuse?

Rear lights, sidelights and dashlights are all on the same circuit, so if they're all not working ,it sounds like that circuit isn't getting 12v!

What you referred to in your last post as the Pink fuse I assume you mean the pink RELAY (that clicks).


Unfortunately I don't remember off the top of my head which the light fuse would be on your year of mini. I think it's one of the round glass fuses in a little black box (has 4 fuses IIRC) attached to the bulkhead?

i seem to remember the side light fuse being in one of them in line holders?

Thanks mate ugot me thinking I had checked the fuse but not the connections just crimped some new ones on and as if by magic working sidelights!! Thanks again for your reply now to put the car back together lol

A good time to refresh all the connectors on the fuse box - if one's going, they'll all soon follow. They really benefit from a clean up every once in a while!
