OT: Conservatory lighting
I have in my conservatory 2 mini spot lights lighting the room mounted on the house side wall. They light the room ok but they tend to leave shadows
everywhere and does not give an even spread of light around the room. What types of light would make it lighter and give the room more of a warmer
feel to it?
Cheers
Matt

I would try some uplighters as this will bounce the light of the ceiling giving a softer glow.

id agree with andy there, some fluorescent bulbs concealed from view and just bouncing light off the ceiling.
Whats the roof made of, glass i assume? This will be part of the problem really since a nice white ceiling would reflect more light around and help
reduce shadows. A cunningly placed white drape might help the uplighters work, or maybe paint the house wall white.
Beware! Bourettes is binfectious.

Light doesn't "bounce" it reflects, sorry it's one of those pet hate sayings like "at this moment in time".
Fluorescents are good as they don't give a direct beam to cause shadows.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Yea the clue's in the name "spotlight".
A couple of standing lamps would fill in the gaps too
