Plastering costs
How much would it cost a plasterer to plaster my conservatory?
One wall is 12 x 7 ft and has a door and a window in it. Other three walls are little and they messure 12 x 2ft, 8 x 2ft,
8 x 2ft (with double doors)
They are brick at the moment.
So then how much do you think it will cost to get it done by a pro?

Ive just had a ceiling done 12 x 7 and 2 walls 1 12 x 8 ft and one 6 x 8ft all skimmed walls where new plasterboard seiling over artex cos £150 I
supplied the plaster
Life is like a bowl of fruit, funny how all the weird looking ones are left alone

I know a good plasterer mate, will give you his number when I see you.
Normally expect to pay about £140 per day for labour, plus materials.

Does it need dry lining first? Or are you just skimming directly onto brick?
Generally a sand and cement render or a plasterboard dry lining would go on the brick work before the skim

You could board and skim that in a day £140 would be a fair price,you supply

A bit too far for me to travel but around £150 plus materials is average.

Sorry to hijack, but on a similar vein I have a lath and plaster ceiling that has a drooping cracked area. I'd estimate that by the time you
start pulling it down the area will be 1.5m x 1.5m.
Is that repairable and at what cost? really dont want to pull it all down to re-board etc. overboarding not really an option as there's an
original cornice which I'd really like to keep.

I paid £120 per FULL day not including materials.

Plasterboard over the top of it and then have it skimmed. Find the joists and nail through into them.

Pete I cant though if I want to keep the cornice? Im guessing the cornice would need a 'step' down of at least the thickness of the
plasterboard plus skim (so what, 9mm min plasterboard, 2mm skim?) which I dont think it has.
