Sand for bedding concrete pavers on ?
Hi all if i am paving 9sq metres what amount of sand will i need ?
I was thinking of 50mm thick so that is just under half a cube meter what is that in weight ? half a tonne

Half ton is plenty if you have access to a trailer it would be cheaper to buy it loose than in bags will only cost about a tenner for sharp sand.
remember to get a bag of cement to spread a little on the bed of sand before you lay the slabs.

Work your base depth out to give you .5T c/sand, most builders merchants sell loose materials in .5T quanities
50mm is a bit thick, thicker depths of bedding course are more prone to frost heave.

Mix some dry cement in with it about 9 parts grit sand to 1 cement and screed it out as you lay your slabs. The damp from under it will set it and it
will hold them for years.

What type of Paving? Slabs? Blocks?
Concrete Pavers? Size
Is it just a pathway or vehicular?

Pretty sure sand has a higher density than water, so half a cube metre is going to weight more than half a tonne! 
Sounds like one of the standard jumbo bags from a merchants could be about right. If I recall they are about 900kg.
