Some sort of marinated chicken apparently.

Which is code for meat that is either dry or raw. She's a good cook but doesn't do very well with chicken (she overcooks chicken and pork on the basis we'd be better eating dry, tasteless meat than raw poisony meat). I'm just as bad.

Chicken tikka kebab and a side order of Leffe.

Kebab was average, sad to say. Wish I'd followed David J's idea though: steak & chips would've gone down nicely with the Leffe.

Yes... wife went through the recipe books looking for something fancy, but in the end we agreed that a straightforward steak would be favourite... with a nice bottle of wine I won in a raffle!
