As warrens says, Im sure too they do have to work with ign off. My premier loom is now in and wired up and I can put on sides and operate horn with ignition off.

I thought it was side lights has to operate with ignition off, as they are your "parking lights"

But didn't think the horn did? or if it does, i will need to re-wire mine? can anyone clarify?

Just been looking through the manual and as far as i can see the side lights and horn DON'T have to operate with the ignition off. Hopefully this is right as mine don't

I was reading through it the other day and I seem to remember it saying you have to have parking lights, presumably if your sides work with the ign off then they become parking lights, but if not you need separate lights?
Can't see any logical reason for horns having to operate when ign is off, since you're not meant to use them when stopped anyway?

Had another look at the manual and it says parking lamps are optional on vechicles not exceeding 6m in length and 2m in width, Prohibited on other vehicles. From that i gather your side lights don't have to work with the key out.

I've just passed IVA today and examiner told me that only thing which was required to work was hazard switch with ignition off. My horn and sidelights don't work unless ignition is on. Hope this helps.

No worries. Just for info they also picked up on the fact that my fog lights came on without the dipped or main beam being on which is another fail.
