Under-floor Exhaust

As I am going to be having a sump and bell housing hanging below the car, if the exhaust is as low or shallower than this, would there be any reason why i couldn't run it below the car?

My initial thoughts are that, if it drags on anything at all, ever...Then it will be pulling on the engine too, but it could be protected I suppose.

Any thoughts?

The main issue will probably be either the back box as said, or the centre part. The front will probably be ok as it's not far from the wheels so any humps or bumps will lift the whole car. But once the front wheels are back on the flat you will still have the centre section of the exhaust hanging down which might be an issue. It might not be though, but it is worth thinking about.

I like the concept of having an exhaust under the car. I was thinking that a couple of bike cans angled up in a read diffuser could work?

my exhaust goes down the tunnel. no problem really, just make sure any other things (fuel, battery cable) etc are protected with heat shields and stuff. i've got the copper fuel line down the tunnel inside a plastic pipe, and the battery cable isn't in yet, but probably will go in there too, in a seperate plastic pipe, brake hose doesn't go in there though, just because it was easier not to.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

This'll be worth considering, hwoever I'm pretty sure I have no space left to exand my tunnel further, after having to widen it to get the S2000 box in
