ZX6R Throttle Bodies help

Hi I have a set of throttle bodies from a 2006 ZX6R . It has two sets of butterflies one a the top which is oval in shape then another set further down which are regular round ones. (worked off the throttle cable) Just wondering whats the purpose of having the two sets?

Thanks

Normally inner set is directly controlled by the throttle position with outer controlled by ecu but can't explain why

Yeah the outer one seems to be attached to a motor on the end of the shaft. Could it be to do with the Idle air control?. Im in the process of putting them on a zetec to be run with a megasquirt ECU.

Yeah, thats them alright. Have you spaced them out a little to fit your manifold?

Yes. About 45mm or so. Easy to do, just longer bolts to hold it together and spacers. Then extend the lever between the two for the throttle. The fuel rail also needs extending.

Thanks,
Sounds straight forward enough, except how is the fuel rail extended? do I need a new longer rail connector T piece?

The pipe is 6 or 8mm i just cut and welded a piece in. but you could use copper tube and a T piece soldered in.
