EMERALD to KOSO RX2N Tacho signal?

Evening all, I am trying to get a decent tacho output to my newly installed KOSO RX2n dash. Someone suggested taking a feed from my ECU. (Emerald K6). The output signal comes from pin 12 on the K6 wiring plug and is a 0~12V pulsed output.

I am a little less clear about the KOSO wiring diagram. It says the Brown wire is the RPM wire.

My question is can I directly connect the brown wire from the KOSO to output 12 on the K6? If so, do I need to consider anything else? I realise my question may be vague but there are two reasons for that,

1. The KOSO wiring diagram is "limited"
2. Electrics are no my strong point

Any / all help gretefully received.

.............Neil

sorry not a real answer but I have a race technology dash and I have taken the tachometer output from my ecu to the dash RPM cable and it seems to work ok with a little tuning on the dash

the low-current switched output from the K6 will not damage the RX2N so connect it up and it should work fine.

yep just connect them together. tacho out on my ecu is directly connected to my koso and the rpm readout is rock solid. on the koso go into the settings and change it to 4cyl 4 stroke and low level input and it will work spot on.
