Fury steering column lower rubber joint
Hi all, had to remove the lower steering column section that connects to the rack. The rubber joint that connects the two halves has cracked and needs
to be replaced but i can't seem to find a kit anywhere. unable to load a picture yet ( stupid iPhone!) Ive drilled out the old rivets holding it
together .
I hope my terrible description makes sense !

The car parts shop across the road from me used to do a kit which included the rubber coupling and 4 M8 bolts to replace the rivets for about £10 but
I've not seen them for a while. They were in a blister pack on the general spares rack similar to FORD CORTINA MK3,4,5
STEERING COLUMN COUPLING KIT | eBay but not for the Cortina (It's probably same though, a lot of Ford kit is)
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

That's the one pete. I bought a decent poly made version maybe ten years ago. So do some people cut this type of joint and weld in a UV joint?
Any pictures very welcome.

Buttons do a kit. POLY44 is its name but it's £50 online. Think I'll go with the eBay special.

I built mine with an Escort column and used a Maestro steering column link - it has the correct splined UJ's both ends , I just cut it and
welded a length of tube in to extend it .
CBS sell the UJ's and a double ended splined shaft , but thats the expensive way to do it !
Its cuz I is blond , innit
Claire xx
Will weld for food......
