Focus 2.0 Zetec water leak

Thought I could smell antifreeze on the way home last night and just had a look and there's a small leak possibly from around the (plastic?) housing on right hand side of the head. Anyone had similar leaks and is it likely to be a cracked housing or a gasket/O ring leak? Just thought I'd ask here before I pull it to bits tomorrow.... If it's the housing itself anyone got a spare good one for a 2.0 Blacktop?

its quite common for them to leak around the thermo housing.

I had an ST170 that did the same.

this might be the cause. a google search found lots of people on here having simular issues.

I think the metal one will be stronger, and not prone to breaking like the plastic one.
