70 - 80 mpg on a 1996 car? I didn't think they could do that.

If I had money to insure it and I wasn't 200 miles away I'd take it :p

How much can a diesel 106 tow?

I put 14 litres (£20) and went for a ride out.. got 285 miles off it.

No towing, it only weighs 750kg..

As much as I'd love to snap at the chance, £1500 insurance I do like the sound of 80mpg though!

£1500! Only cost me £185! And, I've got 2 claims... breath of fresh air after running the Shogun at 22mpg and £650 to insure!

That's what you get for being 19, and I got a clean licence, which seems pretty rare from what I've heard! It's not like you could do any damage with 57bhp or anything!

Funnily enough it is only £2000 to insure a 2 litre ford sierra!

I pulled a trailer tent from here to Cornwall in one many years ago.. Fine on the motorway nightmare on the uphill bits they have down there

We had a 106D fro 7 years. never missed a beat. I did 37k miles in the first year! Then sold it to my brother-in-law who had it for 3 years. Still going strong somewhere with 130k on the clock :-)
