Predictions for the first F1 race

Predictions for the first F1 race

So does anyone have any predictions for the first race of the year. All the feedback form winter testing is hard to read because of different fuel loads, testing strategies etc. the only constant is everyone says the Red-Bull still looks like the one to beat so I’m going:

Red Bull, then McLaren and Mercedes battling closely followed by Ferrari who will be a little off the pace but safely clear of the 5th team Lotus???

I think we could see Red Bull struggling to stay above Mclaren, Ferrari and Mercedes struggling to stay ahead the mid field and Caterham leaving the likes of Virgin and HRT behind.

I reckon Red Bull will start where they finished. Think there has been a fair bit of "sandbagging" during testing.

I would like to see Force India make steps forward..

Redbull will still have a couple of tenths extra in qualifying, McLaren will be first 2 rows, close battle between Ferrari and Mercedes, Lotus and Force India will be close with possibly Torro Rosso in the mix with them. I think Williams will be better but lack of experience in the cockpit will leave them fighting with Sauber. Caterham will have improved but I still think they will be 2 secs off the mid field. I hope Marussia/Virgin will have found a couple of seconds with their new non CFD car but they should be out qualifying HRT anyway.

You never know until Saturday afternoon in Melbourne though. One thing I hope is the new Sky coverage lives up to all the hype and we get something good out of the BBC pulling out.

Same as last year, but McLaren will win it easily.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

In the 80's and 90's I spent a fortune doing all the European races. NOW I would not waste my money.

Still can't forget Rosberg in the turbo Williams 'fighting' his way around Silverstone, that was a spectacle; too sanitized now.
