Protecting metal with mirror finish

Im new to the site, having just started building a Ronart W152. I am currently refurbishing the donnor parts and am polishing many metal parts to a mirror finish. Does anyone have any experience of products that will provide a protective filmthat would protect the mirror finish from oxidisation and rust.

Gunson polishing kit gives that final sparkle and the solid resins give the barrier you need.

Often metal polishes have a silicon resin that shines and seals.

Welcome to the Nuthouse, and you will find more help and information than you could ever wish for.
Good bunch of knowlegable Chaps and Chapesses on this forum, in many areas including kit cars!

Just remember plenty of pictures, and a video if its first start up, is the order of the day. We love to see how people progress with their cars, also people may criticise, but usually in a constructive way. All useful and helpful stuff.

Hope all goes well with the build.
Dont forget the pictures, which you can put in your Photo Archive on this forum.
