help needed

I have a cable going from the battery to the starter and then a smaller cable going from the same bolt to the alternator.I have a smaller cable coming from the alternator to the ignition.BUT how do i wire the coil,which point on the coil ,where does the wire come from help please.

Might help if u tell people what engine you are using.

+Ve on coil to switched ignition +12V and negative on coil to distributor trigger wire (which on mine also goes to the Rev counter)

that is what i need many many thanks i have already a large cable to the starter and from there another cable to the alternator,also i have a small cable from the alternator heading back to the starter switch but not fitted yet,just to put the cable on the coil and a cable from it to the distributor many thanks again
