Steering column lower UJ

I currently have the standard sierra UJ that links the end of the steering column to the steering rack that has a thick rubber joint that gives it its flexibility. Is this ok for IVA? I have heard a rumour that it isnt ok, but I cant seem to find any specific reference in the IVA manual.

Thanks in advance.

Matt

Not an expert myself, but I would guess if it's off a production car then it must be OK?

Someone who knows will be along soon I'm sure
