changing gear selection direction

Hi everyone,

The gears on my busa powered Indy are set up so that you pull to select first then push to go up the gears. I wanted to change the setup so that you push to select first and then pull to go up the gears.

I know its possible to change this and I have a couple ideas of my own but was wondering how other people have done it (in case I've overlooked something) or if there's a set in stone way of doing it.

Ideas/pictures please

Thanks, Ben

Where the gear shift stick is on your engine am sure if you take it off rotate it 180 then put it back on a think that will work for you

Im the same, currently have two linkages connected by a bell crank. I plan to fix both links together and remove the bell crank.

Surely you need to keep the bell crank in order to keep the 90degree change of direction in the linkage?

no, if I had a picture you'd understand. A straight bar with a dog leg would allow me to go forward for first and back to go up the box.
