Speedo pulse multiplier

Does any one know how to increase the amount of pulses generated by the speedometer sender unit. This is a hall effect item producing six pulses per revolution. Unfortunately my speedo needs at least 10 - 12 pulses per revolution. I need some sort of circuit preferably readily available in kit form or ready built. I know the Jaycar unit from Australa will do the job but it takes two weeks to get here and I have my IVA on Wednesday!

Help!
