Aeroscreen Viento

Hi Guys ,
I have been asked to make an Aeroscreen for a Viento , I have one order and one possible . I have a scuttle that has been graciousley lent to me to help in making a perfect fit .
Please let me know if anyone else is interested , if I can generate some numbers it will work out a better price for all concerned .

Regards Julian

Aeroscreen Viento

Intitial cost of producing the mould is quite high , I have set a realistic price of £100 plus £15 post

I already have one definate and one possible

BUT : if I can get 5 orders I will do for £90 plus post £15

BUT : if I can get 10 orders I will do for £80 plus post £15

Don't forget this will be specific to the Viento and I appreciate numbers will be limited , Aeroscreen will be styled along the lines of a Caterham shape rather than a double bubble and will follow the contour of the scuttle .

I can email a picture of proposed Aeroscreen , I have made one for a Westfield wide bodied car and am also working on the same for a narrow although have not published photo's yet as am waiting on new website being launched .

Let me know what you think

Julian supplied this unit which i fitted to my velocity xt. Although not specifically built it was a good fit. The screen is 3M scotch di-noc carbon wrapped. The position I took was to minimise the number of holes in the scuttle so I utilised one of the holes for the mirrors, which I wanted to change anyway. Apart from two bolts the rest is bonded onto the scuttle. Pic supplied

Aeroscreen

Hi , Sorry for slow response I have been away for a few days , initial plans are to make Aeroscreens in gloss black gelcoat supplied polished ready to fit , I am sure that Carbon Fibre units could be available , as with anything it is down to cost , trying to keep the cost down as well as creating a quality product that looks good and works effectively . As you can see by indication of costings on previous post the glassfibre ones will be slightly more expensive than say for a Westfield although the high cost of producing a mould for limited sales numbers is slightly prohibitive , if I was not an enthusiast and looked at just numbers I probably wouldn't have considered making an Aeroscreen for a Viento , but after being asked and being graciously lent a scuttle to make a perfectly fitting Aeroscreen I can't wait to crack on with it and get it finished now I'm back
For style please see the website and aeroscreens , at the bottom of the page is the new style , this will be the style but modified to fit the much wider curved viento scuttle : Aerodynamix Aeroscreens

Hi,

Please put me down for one. Please let me know when you'll need payment, details etc.
Understand that this will take some time, not in a hurry.

Thanks,
Dan

Aeroscreen

No problem , noted as soon as in production will advise accordingly , first mockup and rough buck to take mould off is progressing , just trying to fit it in between the orders list so as to get it done and not let anyone down
If anyone else is interested it looks like we are also almost on five now which would be the first price drop , i'll have a bit of a workout at some point nearer to the time about an actual cost of a Carbon one too
