Cheap octavia VRS, oil burner wanted.

2003 Skoda octavia VRS FSH Low miles | eBay

Due to taking a new job in the 'smoke' I need a derv engined car(is220d maybe) or what have you got.

Requirements are 45mpg, decent stereo, motorway comfort.

amazing cars for the money, i miss my old one still even though i have a mk2 vrs now the mk1 was a great car, nicely modded, 230bhp and cruised at 80 across france still returning 42mpg.





built a car, built a home, had a family. lost the family, lost the home, still got the car.

Yep, they are great cars. Whats the mk2 like on fuel? A friend with a golf mkV is about 15% down on what this does.

I don't have an Octavia VRS.

I do however have a Passat TDI which is awfully similar underneath. This one is a B6.

On a decent run, it gets 58mpg. (Indicated 62mpg).

That's with cruise set at 72mpg.

Fantastic engines IMHO.
