10mm bolt thread size

I am trying to find some 3 inch bolts for my zx10r engine mounts, but m10's don't fit.
They seem to be 10mm but with the thread size of a m8 bolt.
Can some one tell me what I need to be looking for.

Thanks

Brad.

bikes often use a fine thread so the they could be m10x1 or even m10x1.25
