bike engine choice for inboard

Hi all

I'm visiting mnr on sat with a view to building a vortx rt inboard (can't wait) i was thinking of an r1 or zx10 engine but when i spoke to chris? at mnr today he recommended a 1000 fireblade engine.

Any thoughts or advice from current owners would be great.

Thanks
Justin

Again, Lots of people use the blade engine including many in RGB however we went zx10 because it was cheaper, slightly more power, however down a tad on midrange torque to the blade.

So another vote for a late zx10 engine.

I spoke to Andy at AB Performance regarding the ZX10 / Fireblade engines and he voted for the Fireblad. The pacement of the gearbox on the Fireblade engine reduces the angle of the propshaft and makes life easier for the joints. Give Andy a call and he'll explain.

AB is without a doubt an expert on all thing bec.
But he is a Honda man through and through.

Not sure I know of many propshaft failures, now propshaft adapters coming loose that is a topic...
