Anyone seen a "TRIXY"? Correction - TWIZY.

Went to collect engine stand, in Coventry today. On my way, saw small 4-wheeled vehicle, which appeared to be a single-seater. Like a slimmed-down SmartCar, but without doors. Very nippy, great acceleration. Bore the name TRIXY, or maybe "TRIKXEY".

Anyone got website details?

Thank you, that's it. Apparently, doors are extra!

Just re-read the ad. Battery Hire £45 p/month - mandatory!! One I saw was nonetheless very quick (exceeding the speed limit with ease).

Wonder what it'd be like, fitted with Suzuki b/engine?

Wait until garden murray's new battery car comes out. That will be a BEC weapon.

Batteries are leased, which is good if the fzzzt as you'll get new ones for free.
I spoke with the company that makes the controllers for it a while back and they reckoned leasing was likely to become common as it's the battery cost that is holding back the industry.

Electric cars have much better acceleration than petrol or diesel due to the motor torque characteristics.

I went out for a test drive in one a couple of mounts ago. It was great fun, surprisingly nippy and handled well.

Iirc they advertised somewher in the region of 50-100 miles, not that you'd want to be doing longer journeys in one of them!

I also believe one of the ideas behind leasing batteries is that you can replace them at "filling" stations for a recharge as quick as a fill-up
