Xmas swaps?

Hi Guys,

I spent ages writing a post only for the haynes forum to dissapear as soon as i pressed submit so i hope you dont mind me posting here instead.

I need a few parts to finish my car off, but as most of you aware i dont have two pennies to rub together. I do however have a few bits i have found that could be "swapped". I really cant be doing with the stress of selling things in my current state of mind and bad health, so my missus suggested that it might be fun for me to swap them instead.

I really need:

Escort MK2 steering rack
MX5 1.8 prop with a good universal joint, mine is one of the unservicable ones and its shot.
Front offside mx5 1.8 Brake caliper (solid disc)
What have you got that i might fancy? ( old windscreen/ roof material/ windscreen mounts/heater/ nice electronic dash etc etc)

I have, which im open to swapping for said items:

One of Kevs ally tanks leftover
Full set of sierra wishbones ( and enough polybushes, but no crush tubes). Rears are painted black, fronts bare clean steel.
Sierra Push fit diff, not sure of ratio
Sierra uprights x3 (l,r,r) brand new never been used, bit of surface rust on one, other two hammerited.
Full set of sierra wishbone, upright jigs
Full set of mx5 wishbone/ adjuster jigs
Six front lower wishbone lasercut plates (sierra)
Haynes single seater moulds, plus all plans, however these are a top trumps swap!

If you have what i need and want what iv got, im open to any sensible swap. Value doesnt really matter, these bits are of no use to me now, im just after the last few bits that i need and thought this might be the best way of getting them. I would prefer collection of the bits from mine. I cant deal with the stress of sending things by courier, but i can box them up if you organise courier to collect. If your a well known forum member, i dont mind you organising for the bits you want to be collected before you send my bits.

I will add to the list if i find anything else

Cheers

Nath

just plucked these from my phone so quality isnt great. The cut out is for mx5 pickup pump/sender unit. Tank has welded in baffles, has sump and vent tube.

Really not bothered about money at all, just after bits i can use to get the car finished.

Whereabouts are you? I may have a rack lying in the cold garage! Could be interested in the tank - do you have any measurements?

Thanks
Pavel

BTW - I am just up 40 minutes up the road from you, while nothing in your wanted or swap list for me, I have stray bits left over post IVA (Classic crossflow locost), let me know if you end up stuck for small stuff, I might have it kicking about.

Ah, i thought i recognised the car in your photos, is that the road over the ranges between leyburn and reeth?

Willie- sorry not had chance to get the diff open, the cover bolts are tight and i dont want to ring them off with my cheap torx bits so im going to borrow some decent bits tommorow so il get it open then.

Very close, A66 to Reeth via the ranges - near to Stang.

I'd be up for the wishbones (I assume as you mentioned the haynes forum they would be sierra haynes roadster wishbones?) but I have nothing of value to you

I'd be interested in the fuel tank, but similarly lacking in the bits you need.

It seems a shame to sell such a complete car

How much would you be after for the sierra wishbones? Are they professionally welded? And where abouts are you based?

Pete

Wisbones professionally fabricated by myself, i made far too many as i wanted to build up a stock, so these are whats leftover.

£80 plus postage

No worries the 3.38 should be of more value to the BEC brigade anyway.
