WTD: Cheap 4x4

Am on the lookout to potentially purchase a cheap old 4x4 type vehicle to use as a bit of an old workhorse for taking the dog for a walk and not worry about mucj, and also for towing a car on a trailer. Thinking of either a Discovery, Range Rover, Land Rover, Jeep Cherokee, etc. Am happy to consider any engine, any condition....... just send me a message if you have something you think might interest me.

Cheers guys

Wish I still had my Mahindra the foulest thing ever on road, but the best thing off and more fun than sliced bread.
Cheers,

I've just bought a 2004 Freelander Mk1 with a 2.0 Td4 engine and I can't fault it.

Very capable on-road more so than a Defender or Discovery.

Capable off-road but with less ground clearance than a Defender or Discovery.

It depends how much you want to spend but they don't get much cheaper than the Freelander especially if you look for an older car.

i'll be selling a 54 plate jeep cherokee within a month or two. 2.5td, ltd spec so leather electric seats etc. It might need a few things fixing on it, or not, depending on if i bother to sort it myself. No idea on price, would have to compare to ebay, but it would be between 2 and 3k.

My neighbour is selling his 1997 Jeep (P reg I think?) Cherry... It's the High Power version I believe and I think he wants about 1200 for it? It's LPG'd and he's looked after it well. I'm near Salisbury in Wiltshire.
