Not free but i always recommend www.orchardhosting.com. Their cheapest package is £28.35 a year and your domain name will cost you about £10 every 2 years for a .co.uk one so relatively "lowcost" and you have complete control of the space. Also gives you email accounts.

We gain knowledge faster than we do wisdom!

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming... "f*ck, what a trip!"

I've just set mine up on Google sites, it's a bit basic and limited but it seems to be working ok for me, and it's free. At the moment it's just a store for links and photo's but I've yet to start building so there's very little else to go on there!

I've been using vidahost for years. Great price, great service

Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a
car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes
and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.

Update to this thread....

Orchard Hosting are closing and shutting up shop! End of this month the servers start going down. They have recommended Clook as a partner but not too sure what I'm going to do yet.

I'm transfering mine from Orchard to Clook using Atif:

atifishaq@gmail.com

He is a member on here, and is doing a great job for me. Costs a bit more than Orchard, but he is doing everything, all the gobble-de-gook stuff, of which I have no idea.

Can't recommend him enough.
