Any ideas for a good use for about 40 2nd hand office desks and pedestals?

We've cleared out an office here at work and ended up with a load of desks and pedestals (about 40 desks and 40 peds). 2nd hand but in pretty good condition.
Plan was to take them down to a local charity Community Furniture Project who'd agreed to take them. So our movers loaded them onto a lorry and took them down and now say they don't want them! Grrrrr.

Seems a terrible waste to tip them and don't really want to use them for firewood!

Any ideas?

Cheers,
James

Desktops make good shed roofing and flooring.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Being a terrible scrounger, I'd take one off you to replace my other half's rickety workstation! Whereabouts in Surrey are you?
